A report released earlier this month shows that planned North American industrial project activity in March was down significantly compared to the previous two months.
In its monthly report tracking planned industrial manufacturing projects, industrial and commercial market intelligence firm SalesLeads said it noted 112 planned industrial manufacturing industry projects during March — down from 144 in February and 140 in January.
SalesLeads’ March recap is broken down as follows:
SalesLeads identified two new industrial manufacturing facility construction projects in March with an estimated value of at least $100 million, compared to four in February and eight in January. The largest of these two is owned by Crown Cork and Seal, USA, which is investing $147 million and has recently started construction of a 327,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The company expects the facility to be operational in spring 2021.
